Tauranga was a very pleasant place to visit and was enhanced significantly by the welcoming hosts Athol and Lorraine at The Harbour View Hotel. Room was recently renovated, spacious and impeccably clean with all that you could want to ensure a memorable stay. Athol kindly picked us up at the airport after we experienced lengthy flight delays at Auckland and missed our hire car pick up at Tauranga. He could not have been more helpful and accommodating and made us feel very much at home without in any way being intrusive. Off street parking was a bonus as well in a nice suburban cul de sac. Not far from the restaurant precinct and a short drive to the resort area of Mt Maunganui and its beautiful beaches.We would have no hesitation in recommending this well priced accommodation to anyone.  More up to date reviews
